Hey guys,
I've been really lazy with editing pictures so I completed these at the weekend but am only posting now, sorry. I really loved these nails as they were a bit different to the usual doticures I do and use two of the polishes I talked about in my haul post. I loved how these colours complimented each other and the look of the gold which is NYC full metal jacket. This has replaced Barry M gold foil effects as my new fav gold. Pictures than a how to.

Hey guys,
I've got a couple of posts for you today as I'm getting round to posting my latest nails.
The first is this peach and blue polka dot. I've been trying to use some of the polishes that I have but haven't worn yet, peach being one of them. Peach really isn't my colour and so I added the blue to break up the colour and create a cute design. Dots are so easy to do with a dotting tool and so Is one of my favourite things to do on my nails.

Hi guys,
Just a short post as I am so tired as I was out last night. I did these yesterday but did them just before going out and so didn't have time to post them then. I wanted to do quite a simple design as I was running late but I also didn't just want to paint my nails one colour. I realised after I did these that they match a new duvet cover I bought to bring to uni, so obvs that was the unconscious inspiration. The base colour is Guava one of the latest Barry M gellys which I'm in love with. I also have bought a proper base coat instead of just using my hard as nails Sally Hansen. I just bought the super cheap 3 in 1 Barry M base top and strengthening polish which you can't go wrong with for £2.99. To create the dots I simply stuck a dotting tool in matte white and placed three dots on each nail. So simple and quick but as I said I didn't have time for much else.
Unfortunately even though I used a fast dry top coat the thumbs smudged as I was getting dressed and I didn't realise but as I am running out of fast dry top coat it has gone really bubbly and doesn't look great. Plus I started of doing the dots fuchsia which kind of shows on the two fingers I did it on.
Not the greatest nails I've done but I still love the colour.

Hey guys,
It seems that I am slightly obsessed with flowers and butterflies at the moment. I have done two butterfly pattern nails but I wasn't really happy with either. Today's nails though I am so happy with. I also used my new mango Barry M jelly, I bought this just to collect the new colours as oranges don't usually suit my skin tone. However I started using it the other day and it is the perfect orange tone for my skin. I am so happy with it, although mango flesh is in my opinion a lot more yellow in real life than this colour. Anyway pictures than a short tutorial.

I finally bought the two remaining Color show polka dot effects by Maybelline. As I've said I really like these effects although they are a pain to remove. I chose to create a simple monochrome design that looked great with or without the effect on the top, here are my simple half moons. Pictures first then tutorial.

Hi just a quick update from the previous polka dot effect post. I tried on my right hand to try using the effect over matte white Barry M. I think it looks great yet a little messy as I was doing it with my wrong hand. This is probably one of the few times you will get to see my right hand haha.

Hi, I haven't posted in a while due to final project deadlines. Here is a quick tutorial/ product review of the new Maybelline colour show polka dots effect. I recently bought two of these although I do want to collect all of the colours as they are limited edition. There are four colours in the collection. Chalk dust has black and white dots in clear nail polish, this is similar to the new L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Top Coat Confetti (£4.99 for 5ml) yet the Maybelline is cheaper at £2.99 for 7ml. I bought Rain Forest Canopy which is a dark bluey green colour If you apply it direct to the nail without a green/ blue base colour on the colour is very translucent so will need a lot of coats which may add too many dots and look a bit messy. I feel these look nicer if you apply a colour similar to the polka dot effect then use the effect as a top coat. I also have the speckled pink colour and there is also a darker blue called shooting stars. Tutorial up next.
