Hey guys,
I recently picked up this palette on sale in boots just after christmas and decided to spend a couple weeks messing around with it before I shared it with you guys. This is a limited edition so If you want it I would pick it up soon yet I think it's gone back up to full price in boots.

I really like the packaging. Yes It is very bulky with the usual chunky too faced book style packaging. This is my first too faced purchase and I was really impressed with this set. I looked to get the other limited edition I think it was called a few of my favourite things yet it was a debenhams exclusive and was unfortunately sold out.
I thought it was nice that they added some ideas for looks yet I don't think I will recreate any I just tend to play around with pallets experimenting until I find looks I really love to do.
The colours were stunning and even the matte shades were very impressive. On with the swatches, I did these in rows from left to right.
Here is Cookie dough, a matte light bronze brown, Cheers! a pink, champagne pearlescent shade, and prancer a metallic gold.
Next is sugar plum a purple glitter shade, then mulberry a matte mauve shade, then snow angel a matte white which is a great eyebrow highlight.
Next is powdered sugar the only dud in the pallet a pinky white shade that barely shows up on my skin. Then comes too-too a glittery pink with yule log a brown shadow with gold glitter.
Chestnut comes next which is a rich warm brown shade next to Twinkle my favourite colour in the palette, I wore this on new years and It stayed the whole night. Then a light blue shade, joy.
The last shades are spike the punch a peachy pink glittery shade with Chimney a smokey blue/ grey followed by coal the black.

This palette also comes with a full sized lashgasm mascara which has a small plastic wand. I like this mascara for a more natural look as it lengthens but doesn't add volume. Iv'e read lots of mixed reviews on this mascara with many preferring the new too faced better than sex mascara. Yet I am still pleased with this palette with the only downside being the powdered sugar shade.

This is no longer on the boots website yet still was In my local coventry boots yet I picked mine up when I was back in london at the westfield boots. It is still on the asos website http://www.asos.com/Too-Faced-Cosmetics/Too-Faced-Joy-To-The-Girls-Set/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3570607

Hope you enjoyed.

Hey guys,

I know its been a while but I seem to get a blogging block when I'm not at uni. I just wanted to quickly share with you some of the things I bought in december.

Sleek face form Contouring and blush palette. This I've used a few times and really liked the blush but haven't really used the highlight or contour.

I got a few more sleek palettes when the 3 for 2 offer was still on in superdrug. I haven't used these yet as the colours are more spring/ summer appropriate. Also I've been in love with my vice 2 palette and haven't been using much else.

For Christmas I got a couple Z palettes to put my single shadows in. This one has all my MUA shades. I suggest getting the domed Z palette rather than just the large as I was given both and only 10/15 of the mua pans fit in the large and they all fit into the domed palette

I bought 3 of the maybelline limited edition Brocades collection in boots. These went on nicely yet as they took a lot of coats to become opaque they just seemed to peal of. I wore Woven Skyline the gray on new years eve and I lost two of the nails on the way to the party I was going to. It just seemed to ping of. Disappointing.

I bought a couple more of the Rimmel Scandaleyes liners, in bright blue, nude and taupe as I had the silver and really liked it I thought I would give these a go. I've worn the nude on my waterline a couple times and it didn't smudge.
I bought this by accident thinking I was repurchasing my usual Sun shimmer light matte bronzer. I accidentally picked up the light shimmer instead. I didn't really mind as I still have a lot of the matte one left as I was only buying it as it was on offer. I will give this a go but I tend not to like glitters face products.

I wanted to try this as the advert made this look really good. I like this but think a gold eyeliner would be better value for money as what you see in the lid is all the product you get. It is a really lovely gold but for £5.99 you could get a good gold eyeliner that has more product.

Iv'e also been wanting to try the color tatoo's for ages and bought these four to try our. I've used the pomegranate and the gold so far and really liked using them. The gold is a really great base for building a intense gold eye on top.

There was a 3 for 2 on maybelline so I picked up this pen style liquid liner. I love this as it is so easy to create a really fine line or a statement liner look with this. I've been using this more then my gel liner as it is a lot quicker to apply and I don't need to clean the brush immediately after doing my liner. Perfect for lazy makeup days.

Boots were giving this mascara free when you bought 2 things from collection. I kept this but the things I bought from collection were gifts. This tbh isn't a bad mascara If you want a more natural look as It gives length but not volume.

I will go back and do separate reviews of some of these products with swatches. But this is just a overview.
I hope you liked :P

Makeover Essentials Haul

Hey guys,

I've bought more makeup :/. I didn't plan on it but I was suckered into buying some Makeover Essentials products in Whsmiths (Don't ask me why they were selling them in there I have no idea). My friend went in to buy stamps and I walked away with makeup after the rep talked me into it.

The booklet that came with the products.

This is the product that was actually being sold for £35 it is a pigment brush bronzer. I paid £35 for all of this as when you bought this you got the rest free so you got £172 worth for just £35.

These are the brushes that I got which is the whole reason I bought the makeup as I was major lusting after these.

Lipstick part of the pull out compact containing 4 lip colours.

The whole pull out compact with eyeshadow lips and highlighter. This would be great for travelling as it folds up really small.

Makeup pallet containing blusher eyeshadow and more lip stuff.

Lovely matte and shimmer colours.

For £35 I think what I got was a bargain but am not sure if this is worth £172. I'm not sure where and when this will be available in the UK. TBH I don't know much about the company at all apart from that they were a new american company. I look forward to trying the stuff out and letting you know what its like.

Hey again,

Recently I have really got into wearing lipstick and makeup in general. I have in the past been really terrible at applying makeup and went through awkward stages of eye makeup. I was quite into rock and so went through the whole two much eyeliner during my teens. Also I used to love this dark purple and lilac combo that would have been alright if I hadn't been about twelve and knew how to blend. Up until this year I would only maybe use a bit of powder during the day and use eyeshadow and lipstick when going out at night. I still most of the time forget to use mascara as I find applying it annoying and always manage to get some in my hair/ fringe. But I think I am somewhat better at it now. As they say practice makes perfect.

I have always found it really hard to find a foundation to suit my skin. The first foundation I bought was the Maybelline dream matte mouse which was god awful. I was quit young so probably bought the wrong shade as I tested it on my hand and not my face. Yet if I bothered to use it, I would always take it of as it made me orange, and as a goth kid that was not the desired look :P. I recently have been using the Maybelline  dream fresh bb as it is light and provides the right amount of cover my skin needs. I had also been using the fit me foundation also by Maybelline but I'm not sure if I like it anymore (I have the powder an concealer as well and these are both good).

I'm not a big fan of blush and currently don't own any but if I fancy wearing some I mix lipstick with my bb cream to create a liquid blush. I much prefer bronzer and use it to contour my face, I currently use the Rimmel sun shimmer light matte bronzer.

I am really into lipstick at the moment and splurged a couple weeks ago on a MAC lipstick (media, its a satin finish) which I love. This is a very sultry, sexy colour and is my perfect red lip.

Above are all the lipsticks I own apart from Media as It was in my bag. I have a few from Maybelline, pink pearl and velvet beige. Some from the natural collection (from boots), these are really cheap and are amazing quality, I have pink orchid and cherry red. I have a blue, black and pink from barry M and one from sleek that they don't do anymore claret and an accessorize purple, passionate.

I haven't mentioned eyeshadow and with the amount I have It will probably have to be in a separate post. Also the shadow I use at the moment is from an ancient set that I found while packing for uni that was bought from argos years ago and so wont be of much use to anyone to see it.

Hope you enjoyed this post, please comment and follow :P
