Hey guys,

I know I haven't posted in the longest time and I think in my last post I said I was going to be more consistent. This didn't work out as I have recently been struggling to be motivated to do anything. I'm finally on top of this and wanted to have a fun, sort of semi rant type post. I've never really blogged about my personal life before so here goes.

Ok, here goes. Since having dyed my hair turquoise strangers often have the urge to point this out to me, the most annoying being pointed at by people that just say "Your hair!". To be honest I just find this rude mainly due to the pointing it's like being made a spectacle of. You do also get the really cute small children pointing at you as well as they say "look mummy, she has green hair" which I just find sweet as they are innocent, unlike when adults do this.

The creepy incidents however are the ones that bother me. Lots of guys, see my hair as a talking point and have tried to hit on me because of it. Like today for incidence. I'm walking home with my shopping, probably red faced with no makeup on. When suddenly a guy out of nowhere approaches me exclaiming "I love your hair" me being one of the most socially awkward people, says "Thanks" which sounds strange and awkward anyway but is made even more embarrassing due to the fact I have a slight lisp. I then think to long about these things which leads to me writing them down.

The worst experience however was when I was again walking home with my shopping. A man maybe 10 years older then me wearing, looking pretty chavy approaches with the "oh wow your hair" speech. Then proceeds to follow me as I walk home asking if I have a boyfriend. Which I said in the hopes of making him leave me alone although I am single. Then asking if I wanted another one. Creepy right? Luckily he was only going to a bus stop and did not stalk me the whole way home. But If any guy is reading this don't do this it just comes of as creepy and makes me feel unsafe.

Anyway rant over. The majority of things people say about your hair if you do dye your own hair is very complimentary. But be warned you do get the couple weird experiences. It seems girls carrying home shopping is a massive turn on for some reason :)

Hey Guys,

Just before going to uni I decided that I was going to go from dark brunette hair to bright turquoise
blue/ green.  That was about 5 weeks ago and I had to re-dye my hair last weekend as the dye is semi permanent so does fade.

To take my hair from brunette to turquoise I first had to bleach it. I used Live Color XXL Colour Intense Blonde Absolute Platinum twice to take my hair to light blonde.

 After I had bleached it twice I tried to tone it to get out the brassy tones with touch of silver but I dont think this worked and so my hair was a bit greener in patches.

The first time I dyed it. With Directions Turquoise 

My hair today, I'm wearing my new wolverine tee.

Hey guys

I have recently been mixing up what shampoos and conditioners I use and have going between herbal essences fresh balance, tresemme split remedy and the Moroccan argan oil shampoo and conditioner.

I've been using the herbal essences shampoo for years as I can have a dry scalp at times while having really greasy hair (I know it doesn't make sense) and this really helps to get rid of dandruff and grease. I wouldn't really recommend any anti dandruff product as things like head and shoulders tended to make my hair worse not better. I used to be really embarrassed by dandruff as it would make my head itchy and so more dandruff would come from the scratching. (not nice and it would gross out other kids :( at least it's under control now)  

As I said in my last post I haven't had a hair cut in a couple years and so I bought the split remedy product on a whim when my split ends were getting out of control. I liked the product but didn't really notice much difference as soon after I bought It I got my mum to even up my hair ( it had grown out from an angled bob and so was a lot longer at the front than at the back) and cut the split ends.

The argan oil products were a new whim as before I bleached my hair I decided to try and get my hair into a very good condition. I love these products and they are well worth the £6.99 price tag. As they are so expensive I try to be sparing with them but as the shampoo is sulphate free I am using it more as it is doesn't fade coloured hair as much as products containing sulphates. I also love using the oil to smooth out my hair.

I have recently gotten into experimenting with my hair. For a couple years now the only thing I've ever done with my hair is either straighten or curl it. I have always loved curly hair and I am luck in that my hair does have a natural wave to it. Unfortunately though my hair tends to be hard to curl as unless I use a lot of hairspray most of the curls will drop out in about an hour leaving a frizzy mess. I recently bought a new curler the Babyliss pro curl 210, this curler has a thicker barrel than my old curler (I had been using the babyliss 4 in one straightener, crimper and two types of curler) It is a tonged curler as I can't handle using a wand. I just get on better with the tongs :P. I mainly got this curler as it was £18.49 in boots and in argos (I got it in boots for the points yay) and as my old curler took an age to heat up as the curling part was detachable. (also I broke one of the release buttons :/)  I definitely recommend this curler to anyone on a budget as It is great value for money and produces very nice ringlet curls. I'll put a picture of both my old and new curlers so you guys can see the difference.

 I also recently bought a hair dryer as I was going to uni I also bought a straightener  at the same time which matched. As I had just been using my mums but as I was leaving I thought It best to get my own. Unfortunately my mum still has my straightener as hers broke lol. Both I got from ebay for about £20 each. I loved the colour and It sort of matches the nail varnish I'm wearing at the moment. I don't use the dryer often as they are damaging but sometimes I do need to use one.

The final styling tool I got recently is the Babyliss wave envy which crimps the hair into waves instead of the triangular shapes on more traditional crimpers. I much prefer the effect this gives over my other crimper as It gives very beachy mermaid waves as apposed to scrunched up frizz. I've used this a couple times and really like the effect it achieves in only about 15 seconds so is very quick to use and can be used on quite large sections. 

To maintain my style I first protect my hair with tresemme heat defence and then use a lot of tresemme salon finish extra hold hairspray. Also if I straighten my hair I will use fish hairdressing wax or Loreal matte and messy salt spray. I also sometimes use the tresemme split remedy leave in shampoo which I'm not sure if it works as I haven't had a professional hair cut in nearly three years I just tend to do it myself.
